Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of experience in direct sales, fundraising, or marketing. Relevant experience may substitute for required education.

The department is especially interested in candidates who possess higher education fundraising experience including current University of Memphis utilized systems.

This is a Limited Position contingent upon funding availability.

Multiple positions will be hired from this posting.

Work Hours Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

May be required to work beyond normal schedule during peak periods, including some nights and weekends, and travel.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to handle or feel, and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk.

The employee is occasionally required to stand, reach with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

  • Knowledge of University of Memphis colleges, programs, etc.

Manages a portfolio of 1,000 current, lapsed and prospective leadership Annual Giving donors. Cultivates relationships with donors by leveraging technology that includes but is not limited to email, phone, social media, video conferencing, texting, and EverTrue’s cloud platform. Perform 50+ outbound touchpoints per day to demonstrate to donors the impact of their giving and provide information on university programs relative to their interests. Solicits donors to make new gifts, renew or upgrade by promoting philanthropic opportunities such as university and college giving priorities and crowdfunding projects. Meets and exceeds clearly defined activity, revenue retention, and donor reactivation goals.

Collaborates effectively with other members of Annual Giving, as well as the Advancement Communications, Advancement Services, and Alumni Association teams as part of a comprehensive multichannel marketing program.
