Our Story

As the world’s leading resource for annual giving programs, AGN helps educational institutions develop sustainable sources of philanthropic support. We’re proud to have served thousands of colleges, universities and independent schools through our recruiting, training, and consulting services, and through our membership program, which provides ongoing access to professional development.

Annual Giving Network (AGN) was founded in 2010 when Dan Allenby began doing research on annual giving trends and sharing his findings through a blog, special reports, and interactive webinars. Over the next few years, he recruited colleagues to help expand his research, offer more training, and develop new tools. In 2016, AGN launched an institutional membership program to provide greater access to its growing list of programs and resources. Since then, the network has embraced its mission of bringing advancement professionals together, leveraging technology to facilitate the exchange of information and ideas, and identifying the best practices in annual giving.

Today, AGN continues to conduct research, produce webinars and workshops, curate a library of resources, maintain a popular job board, and host a podcast that features some of the industry’s most interesting voices. Our goal is to help every single educational institution better engage its supporters and improve its annual fundraising results. With this in mind, we are pleased to offer programs in the following areas:
