Description

For this year's Giving Tuesday campaign, we worked with two social work students who need to hold a fundraiser to complete their fundraising course. The intended audience was our general audience - alums and non-alum donors. We are still going through numbers, so I can't share that just yet, but this is the first time that we had a fundraiser that is completely led by students. They wrote the copy and provided photos. I provided some suggestions and light edits, but otherwise the content was done by the students. Our Development team is pretty small, though I receive a lot of support from the Central Annual Giving team. This campaign was novel for us because it was student-led and also it gave us a break from the busy content-creation season that is Giving Tuesday, and enabled us to work on other projects! We would love to develop this idea further, and would also love to get feedback on how we can make this better for the future, including using other multimedia approaches to reach as wide a net as we can.
