ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR, CLASS GIVINGAlumni Association, to encourage philanthropy from MIT undergraduate alumni, primarily in the classes of 1988-1979, through the management of two-three reunion gift campaigns, particularly the 35th and 40th reunions, and support class agents in non-reunion classes for the 1988-1979 cohort. The focus of this role is to set stretch goals and increase participation; recruit and train committee members on campus, regionally, and online; monitor progress and provide analysis of gift campaigns; and solicit for annual leadership gifts as appropriate.

Job Requirements:

REQUIRED:  bachelor’s degree; at least three years of relevant experience; experience working with and managing volunteers; ability to recruit, motivate, and train volunteers; experience setting and implementing strategy, including establishing and meeting goals and priorities; excellent interpersonal skills, particularly the ability to establish effective working relationships with colleagues, alumni, and other constituents; strong planning, organizational, and written and oral communication skills; initiative; attention to detail; ability to handle diverse tasks concurrently while meeting deadlines and work independently and contribute to a collaborative environment; sound judgment with confidential information; strong presentation skills, including the ability to effectively develop and deliver training sessions for a wide variety of audiences; and experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.  PREFERRED:  experience in nonprofit fundraising environments; and experience with Tableau, Ellucian Advance Web or other enterprise fundraising system; and experience with volunteer management portal systems.

Must be willing and able to travel and work occasional evenings and weekends.

This position will be hybrid, with a combination of on-campus and remote work.
