The Georgia Tech Alumni Association is seeking a Manager of Leadership Annual Giving to engage alumni and friends in support of Georgia Tech’s annual fund, known as Roll Call. The Manager of Leadership Annual Giving reports to the Vice President of Annual Giving and is responsible for the identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of donors with the capacity to give $1,000 – $25,000 annually. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated, metrics-driven frontline fundraising professional responsible for engaging prospects and soliciting unrestricted support at Roll Call’s Leadership Circle giving levels via a variety of methods including personal visits (in person or virtual), phone, email, social media, and text. Candidates should demonstrate a strong understanding of fundraising best practices and have strong interpersonal, customer service, and communications skills. The Manager of Leadership Annual Giving will supervise the Assistant Manager of Leadership and Volunteer Giving and will report to the Vice President of Annual Giving, Roll Call.

Responsibilities: 

  • Engage with and conduct one-on-one personal solicitations of donors for annual gifts at Roll Call’s Leadership Circle giving levels via personal visits (in person or virtual), phone, email, social media, and text
  • Meet defined visit and solicitation goals while working to grow Roll Call’s Leadership Circle and developing a pipeline for major and planned gifts
  • Oversee individual solicitation and stewardship plans for Roll Call endowment donors
  • Maintain strong relationships with Development staff and Institute leaders across campus
  • Collaborate with Institute development officers and generate referrals for volunteer leadership, major gifts, and planned gifts as appropriate
  • Develop a strong understanding of Alumni Association and Georgia Tech programs and priorities
  • Support overall Roll Call goals and initiatives and meet dollar and donor goals for all leadership Circle giving levels
  • Provide prompt follow-up to all donor interactions and utilize tools in Blackbaud CRM to track all appeals and communications touchpoints
  • Assist in stewardship activities and events for all Leadership Circle donors
  • Support solicitations made by Alumni Association leadership and volunteers as needed
  • Identify, recruit, coach, and support fundraising volunteers for Giving Tuesday, GeorgiaTech Giving Day, and other peer fundraising efforts
  • Provide consistent coaching, feedback, and support to direct reports; establish and monitor staff performance and professional development goals.

Education and Experience Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree; 3-5 years of experience in higher education or non-profit fundraising
  • Detail-oriented with strong time and project management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience recruiting, developing, and managing professional staff and volunteers
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Knowledge of Blackbaud or other CRM systems
  • Donor outreach will involve local visits and events (metro Atlanta) with potential for infrequent long-distance travel
