Giving Initiatives Program Strategist, Annual Giving

Cambridge, MAGIVING INITIATIVES PROGRAM STRATEGIST, ANNUAL GIVING, Alumni Association (AA), to drive the strategic direction and planning for the MIT 24-Hour Challenge, Giving Tuesday, and other fundraising initiatives, including affinity groups. Will set the plan for the successful execution of deliverables for giving initiatives; lead regular meetings of key stakeholders and report on progress and results; serve as a lead point of contact on developing strategy, working with others on the Annual Giving and AA Strategic Communications and Marketing team (SCM) and with external vendors; and collaborate closely with other partners within the Alumni Association and across campus on planning and implementing giving days. Will also oversee and manage relationships with forty-plus campus partners and coordinate and oversee digital platform execution, data tracking, and reporting.
Job Requirements
REQUIRED: bachelor’s degree; at least three years of administrative, operations, and/or project/program management experience, preferably in a nonprofit fundraising environment; fundraising event management experience; meticulous attention to detail, deadlines, and quality; excellent relationship-building, communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills; discretion and excellent judgment with confidential information; and proficiency with computers and standard applications (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Zoom, and PowerPoint). Must be able to work proactively, anticipate problems, and quickly and independently resolve unforeseen situations; utilize data to problem solve; multitask, prioritize assignments, and meet deadlines without compromising quality in a demanding and high-volume work environment; manage relationships diplomatically; and work both independently and collaboratively. Must be able to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed and to travel on occasion.
This is a hybrid position with a combination of on-campus and remote work.
