Reporting to the Executive Director of Donor Relations and Fundraising Programs, the Assistant Director of Annual Giving implements annual giving programs designed to strategically enhance communications and marketing efforts with the ultimate goal of acquiring, reactivating, and retaining an ever increasing pool of regular supporters. S/he will provide operational support for multiple areas within Annual Giving and special annual fundraising initiatives. This includes, but is not limited to creating appeals for targeted audiences, coordinating resources internally and externally to complete projects, and interfacing with alumni and university volunteers. S/he performs other duties as assigned.

Creates and implements comprehensive and data-driven integrated direct marketing solicitation strategies to raise charitable support for various appeals, through mail, phone, and electronic communication.

Oversees and manages vendor relationships for phon-a-thon and direct mail efforts.

Works closely with internal colleagues to design and implement special campaigns.

Oversees and manages senior class campaign.

Qualifications:       

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or its equivalent required; minimum three years’ related experience.
  • Must have excellent organizational and data management skills and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to set priorities, function in a fast-paced work environment, and communicate across all levels of the Pace community is essential.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team and to work cooperatively with other staff.
  • Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills; strong writing skills and data manipulation skills.
  • Outstanding strategic thinking and analytical skills.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, sound judgment, and experience handling highly confidential information.
  • Strong initiative, creativity, organizational ability, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to use current desktop office technologies and able to adapt to and use future technologies.
