As the leader of San José State’s telemarketing programs, student call center and crowdfunding program you have the opportunity to lead efforts to engage alumni, students, parents, faculty, staff and friends in philanthropic support of the university. What You’ll Do:

  • Coordinate the daily operations of the phonathon, implement best practices and identify and implement program enhancements.
  • Hire, train, motivate and evaluate student callers; set goals and design incentive plans.
  • Devise and implement crowdfunding processes and guidelines and work closely with university departments and groups on the full cycle of crowdfunding projects.
  • Work closely with multiple University Advancement units to cooperatively develop and implement programs as well as ensure smooth operations of call center operations, crowdfunding platform and other assigned programs.
  • Evaluate program progress and make decisions on adjusting ask structure on an ongoing basis to maximize results.
  • Gather and analyze data; generate reports and analysis on phonathon and crowdfunding program performance and results.
  • Recommend initiatives and changes to improve quality of programs and services.
  • Assist with donor recognition and stewardship, and other Annual Giving and development activities in support of university‐wide campaign initiatives.
  • Work a flexible schedule with evening hours and weekends.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a focus on details, and excellent program and project organization skills in addition to:

  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Non‐profit fundraising experience, with a strong preference for a background in telemarketing or comparable customer service experience
  • Two years of supervisory experience
  • Knowledge of employee motivational and development techniques
  • Knowledge of crowdfunding practices is highly desired
