The University of Illinois Foundation has immediate openings for two full-time, Annual Giving Program Manager/Assistant Program Manager. These positions report to the Associate Director for Annual Giving Operations. The Program Managers share responsibility for implementing and managing the Foundation’s ongoing telephone solicitation program, which raises approximately $4 million in donor pledges annually. The Foundation’s Urbana-Champaign call center conducts outbound telephone solicitation, stewardship, cultivation, and event reminder calling on behalf of the university’s advancement, marketing, and communication programs. These positions coordinate and manage unit specific responsibilities including interviewing, hiring, training, motivating, monitoring performance, and evaluating more than 150 student employees. These positions hold primary responsibility for building calling campaigns in the telemarketing software package. Alternating evening (Sunday-Thursday) and weekend (Sunday) shifts are required.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in business, communications, education or other appropriate field. Supervisory experience required with preference given to candidates with at least one year of telephone solicitation, sales/training, or customer service experience. Applicants must possess excellent motivational, communicative and supervisory skills. Computer proficiency is required, and database and call center software management experience are preferred. Enthusiastic leadership, interpersonal skills and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, and meet short deadlines are also necessary.
