The Advancement Division at Babson College is in the process of starting a comprehensive capital campaign and it’s a great time to join our team of over sixty staff members.

The Senior Associate Director, Annual Leadership Giving is primarily responsible for developing and delivering programs to increase donor participation rates and total revenue in The Fund for Babson and Leadership Annual Giving Areas. Specifically responsible for managing a team of two Leadership Annual Giving officers, recruiting, managing, and stewarding high-end fundraising volunteers and setting the strategy to build a pipeline of giving from $1,919 to $99,999; as well as ensuring that The Fund for Babson programs and activities support the strategic direction set forth by the Director for the Fund for Babson and Vice President of Development.

  • Manage a Leadership Annual Giving team to develop and implement strategies to increase Annual Leadership Giving from alumni and parents in support of Advancement revenue goals.
  • Develop and implement a strategy to increase and upgrade membership in the President’s Society with a focus on the $10,000 – $99,999 level.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in Major Gifts and AFN to build out regional President’s Society programming.
  • Build out a new President’s Society Council to ultimately create a dedicated group of annual leadership volunteers
  • Hold a portfolio of 125+ local prospects and fundraise through 12 – 15 face-to-face solicitations monthly.
  • Manages the cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of donors and prospective donors at the $10K and above level or “Leadership Level” or whatever makes the most sense
  • Identify and solicit 25-30 key prospects bi-annually
  • Prepare proposals for gift solicitations
  • Devise an annual business plan, which includes a return on investment analysis focused on performance goals and standards of excellence, to ensure optimal results of programs and activities.
  • Provide progress assessments and year-end reports to the Director of The Fund for Babson.
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing, Stewardship, AFN, EMO and Development Operations to ensure effectiveness, efficiency, accuracy, and quality of programs.
  • Work with Development Research and fundraisers to target appropriate volunteers for various programs.
  • Ensure volunteers are stewarded, cultivated, and encouraged to complete their fundraising and volunteer responsibilities.
  • Assumes additional responsibilities as required.

Education Requirements:

  • Minimum Level of Education Required Bachelor’s Degree

Position Knowledge/Skills & Abilities Requirements:

  • A minimum of 8-10 years of related experience
  • Proven track record of closing 5-figure gifts
  • Strong supervisory skills and ability to motivate
  • Exceptional collaboration and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to be effective at engaging with all levels of the College
  • Demonstrated ability to establish creditability and confidence with volunteers, donors, and prospective donors
  • Able to work with ethnically, culturally and socially diverse students, staff, faculty and other constituencies
  • Exceptional organizational, verbal and written communication skills
  • Flexibility and willingness to assume new tasks and special projects
  • Strong technology skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Travel up to 25% of the time
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel as a representative to Babson
  • May require occasional nights and/or weekend work
  • Must have had a valid unrestricted U.S. Driver’s License for one year, and maintain throughout employment an insurable (as determined by the College’s insurer’s criteria) or a satisfactory driving record; must successfully complete and pass the College’s vehicle training program within the first 60 days of employment; annual or more frequent review of employee’s driving record based on the College insurer’s criteria; and safety training as required by management.
