Functions
  • Provide back-end support to the alumni club program and club volunteers. 
  • Oversee all aspects of alumni club policies and resources, the alumni club recognition program, and the alumni club scholarship program.
  • Travel to club areas for volunteer recruitment and training, event support, and speaking engagements. Traveling will take up about 30% of the position.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Provide training and guidance to club leaders on policies and procedures, volunteer recruitment, foundation resources, the club recognition program, and the club scholarship program. 
  • Assist the Senior Director, Alumni Clubs and Student Engagement in the identification of areas to establish new or returning alumni clubs and the recruitment of club volunteers. 
  • Help lead monthly virtual meetings with all club leaders designed to provide updates, revisit training topics, and receive updates from club leaders. 
  • Track alumni club program data, including the coding of volunteer leaders in our constituent database. 
  • Work in partnership with the Student Engagement Team to develop and facilitate an ongoing mentor program between clubs and students. 
  • Contribute to overall strategic plan for continued growth of the alumni club program. 
  • Assist on an as needed basis with other areas of the foundation and Engagement Team.

  • Takes initiative with projects and is comfortable leading multiple projects at a time. 
  • Strong organizational skills, including project leadership and management skills.
  • Ability to travel within and out of the United States. Travel within the United States constituents about 30% of the position. 
  • Ability to lead and influence others, especially with detailed and tactical work. 
  • Strong written communication skills.
  • Strong customer service skills. 
  • Comfortable learning and adapting to new technology.
  • Ability to relate well with people from various cultures and backgrounds.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required in business, management, hospitality, organizational leadership, communication, marketing, or related field.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in: 
    • Event planning, customer service, sales or marketing
    • Volunteer management 
    • Training 
    • Salesforce, Ascend, or other Customer Marketing Software or database management preferred.
  • Time spent in a graduate school program is included.
  • Must excel in written communications and be extremely prompt in responding to club communications.
