Digital Marketing Strategist, Annual Giving

Lead and manage digital marketing initiatives for MIT annual giving.  Will stay abreast of current trends; create and execute e-mail solicitation campaigns for Annual Giving and campus partners; manage highly segmented e-solicitation and e-cultivation projects and complex testing and analyze results of appeals and campaigns; manage MIT’s giving day platform and strategically plan the communication outreach; research and outline original content to execute with contract writers; manage MIT’s crowdfunding platform; recruit campus partners to participate and advise on best practices; develop and coordinate, with the marketing strategist, project work of a marketing assistant and monitoring performance; work with contract employees to create fundraising support videos for the Alumni Association’s strategic communications and marketing team and solicitation campaigns; create outlines, scripts, and storyboards; and coordinate fundraising social media presence in the MITAA networks.

Job Requirements:

REQUIRED:  bachelor’s degree in a related field; five years of digital or communications experience; strong computer skills and experience with email and digital marketing platforms and Excel; experience setting and implementing strategy, including establishing and meeting goals and priorities; excellent organizational, customer service, problem-solving, and verbal and written communication skills; data literacy; attention to detail; technical proficiency with web development and learning new platforms’ user interfaces; and the ability to work both independently and cooperatively (with staff and volunteers).  PREFERRED:  experience using email marketing software and crowdfunding platforms; a background in fundraising; experience running successful crowdfunding campaigns or days of giving; strong computer skills; knowledge of desktop publishing, design and layout, databases, webpage editing, and video production. Job #22126-8
