Coordinator I, Foundation Services – Annual Gifts
Position Summary: The Coordinator I will be a support role for our mid-level annual giving program. This involves the coordination of stewardship, events, communications, and other administrative tasks. This position is responsible for the organization of fundraising support activities for annual and major gift officers and volunteers; consistent tracking, utilization, and review of donor prospects/gift processing in the Development database. The position will provide essential administrative support for our Junior Ambassadors and Ambassadors team. This includes learning our constituent relationship management tool, our email and peer-to-peer fundraising platforms, events management, operations on and between teams, and basic fundamental fundraising knowledge. This team is new and during this phase, there will be some shift in responsibilities as the group grows to accommodate changing roles, processes, and goals.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2+ years of administrative, phone center, or marketing experience in a fast paced, service-oriented environment with exposure to communications and/or fundraising.
- Experience in successful fundraising, and/or working with board and committee support a plus.
- Customer-service/client-service, database or data entry and event planning highly preferred.
- Project management experience and marketing/communication or other campaign support experience preferred.
- Frequent user of Microsoft Suite (especially Word, PowerPoint, and Excel), quick learner of new platforms, enthusiastic problem solver, and a provider of excellent customer service.
Education/Licensure/Certifications: High School Diploma, GED or equivalent. College degree or equivalent experience required. Prefer coursework, experience in journalism, communications, or business.
