Annual Giving & Stewardship Manager
St. Andrew’s Episcopal School in Austin, Texas is seeking a highly motivated, experienced, process-oriented, and creative Annual Giving & Stewardship Manager to maintain and grow the school’s Annual Giving Campaign and oversee a comprehensive stewardship program. This is a 12 month position with a start date of May 2022.
This person will develop and manage stewardship programs for St. Andrew’s constituents and manage all functions of the annual giving program, (the “St. Andrew’s Fund”), which entails comprehensive database segmentation, direct mail development and deployment, volunteer recruitment, personal visits, prospect screening, cultivation and stewardship and all related digital and marketing efforts. In addition, this position supports other Advancement Office special events and fundraising initiatives as needed.
The Annual Giving & Stewardship Manager is a member of the Advancement team and reports to the Director of Advancement.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design and implement the fall annual giving program from conception to completion.
- Oversee and continue to innovate stewardship efforts and programs for all constituencies.
- Identify and research St. Andrew’s Fund prospects.
- Supervise the creation and mailing of all Annual Giving announcements and appeals and manages all acknowledgements in coordination with the Associate Manager of Donor Relations.
- Recruit, meet with and train St. Andrew’s Fund volunteer committees and guide their work.
- Conduct personal solicitations with St. Andrew’s donors and prospects in coordination with the Major Gifts Officer and Director of Advancement.
- Manage all cultivation and stewardship activities related to the Annual Giving Program and guide stewardship programming for all campaigns.
- Prepare statistical reports for the Board of Trustees and supervise the creation and delivery of the Annual Report publication.
- Help manage, in coordination with the Alumni Relations Manager, a robust alumni giving program.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Advancement.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, with a preferred degree in nonprofit management, finance, business administration, organizational management, communications, or public relations.
- A minimum of five years of experience in institutional fundraising is required and demonstrated knowledge of the principles and practices of annual giving programs.
- Experience in educational advancement preferred.
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills; demonstrated personal solicitation experience and success.
- Strong computer skills and knowledge of database research and maintenance.
- Ability to work with students, alumni, parents, and grandparents as well as volunteers of all ages.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace, experience with Blackbaud preferred.
- Design experience with Adobe Creative Cloud products or Canva preferred.
- Must be able to work evenings and weekends as warranted.
