Annual Giving Officer
Reporting to the Director of Annual Giving, the Annual Giving Officer will support the growth of annual giving fundraising initiatives by developing, implementing and maintaining annual giving programs that cultivate, solicit and steward gifts from alumni, faculty, staff and community members. The Annual Giving Officer is responsible for all annual giving direct mail efforts and will work collaboratively with Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement colleagues to assist with the execution of annual giving solicitation strategies.
Responsibilities:

Conceptualize, develop and manage the process for direct mail and email appeals; manage the review and approval process with internal/external stakeholders.

Work with internal communications team to write various versions of solicitations to keyconstituencies. Design or work with designer to produce collateral printed materials

Oversee each step of the process to ensure mailings and emails are on time and meetbranding standards.

Work as a key member of annual giving team, assisting with day of giving (Augusta Gives), employee campaign (IGIVE) and other focused fundraising initiatives.

Work closely with Annual Giving team members to ensure effective multichannel fundraising strategies (ie. direct mail, email, social media, and crowdfunding.

Work collaboratively with Director of Annual Giving and Assistant Director to identify, cultivate and solicit annual giving prospects and donors across a variety of constituencies.

Work collaboratively with Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement colleagues to assist with the execution of direct mail and other annual giving solicitations with the goal of increased engagement and giving by our alumni and other donors.

Develop and produce program plans, communication strategies, briefings and reports related to direct mail appeals/solicitations.

Ensure accuracy of constituents, gift information and other data in donor database.

Perform all other related tasks/ duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of three years of experience in annual giving, alumni relations, sales, marketing, or event planning or with a minimum of five years of overall professional experience.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

Experience with databases (especially Raiser’s Edge) and internet searches

Knowledge of standard event management tasks and resources

Ability to work effectively with people of all ages and backgrounds, including healthcare professionals, community leaders, as well as patients, families, volunteers and employees

Position requires constant verbal and written communication with internal and external stakeholders; faculty, staff, administrators, alumni, and friends of the university.

Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends

Ability to maintain confidentiality

Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases
Preferred Qualifications:
- Shift: Days / M-F *Work outside of the normal business hours may be required.*
- Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position.
