Director of Annual Giving & Special Projects
Job Summary
The Director of Annual Giving & Special Projects position is responsible for planning and executing a systematic fundraising program to provide new and increased financial support for the Troy University Annual Giving program; coordinating Annual Giving Program fundraising activities including direct mail, phonathon, Business Partners and other community programs, the Faculty/Staff Campaign and all other yearly giving programs sponsored by the Advancement area; involvement in development services, donor relations, and research and grant writing; community involvement; and involvement in other Troy University related activities. The Director is a vital part of the Office of Advancement and will work closely with other Troy University development and alumni affairs officers, all led by the Associate Vice Chancellor for Development.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Minimum of five years of related work experience
- Skill in managerial organization
- Skill in interpersonal communication
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a related field
- Minimum of three years of related work experience, preferably development or marketing
- Experience in working with others in a centralized/decentralized office
- Knowledge of fundraising at the university level and the ability to organize volunteers
