Annual Giving Coordinator
Job Summary
Under the direction of the Annual Giving Director, the Annual Giving Coordinator is responsible for increasing philanthropic support for the annual fund and other fundraising priorities. Annual giving solicitations, such as electronic appeals, mailings, membership drives, phone solicitations and face to face visits will be monitored by the Associate Vice President (AVP) for Advancement, as well as the implementation of best practices for annual fund development. The Annual Giving Coordinator will be measured on development metrics with monthly, quarterly and annual goals monitored and assessed for completion. This position will work closely with the Annual Giving Director and assist with the annual giving day, the faculty/staff giving campaign and the student philanthropy organization.

Job Duties
- Develop and maintain a portfolio of leadership annual gift donors and prospects, including cultivation, solicitation and stewardship. Assist with the solicitation and engagement of leadership annual donors to the President’s Strategic Initiatives Fund. Work with the Annual Giving Director to reach monthly, quarterly and annual membership acquisition goals and annual fund revenue goals.
- Assist the Annual Giving Director in developing and implementing strategies to increase the number of donors at the President’s Society giving level. Develop and execute cultivation strategies for leadership annual gift prospects that meet the needs and goals of University priorities. Assist the Annual Giving Director in developing specific annual giving strategies for recent graduates, with a focus on those from the last decade. Work with the Associate Vice President for Advancement and the Annual Giving Director to develop long-range annual fund goals and a strategy to attain them.
- Establish relationships and work collaboratively with the appropriate representatives of the colleges/schools and other university staff to generate interest in annual giving among alumni and current students of the university. Represent the Division of University Advancement and/or University at on and off-campus meetings, conferences, and seminars.
- Provide exceptional stewardship to Indiana State University donors. Serve as a project manager for special fundraising projects as needed. Assist with special events by encouraging attendance, hosting guests and representing the Office of Advancement.
- Update donor and prospect records by entering accurate and timely contact reports into our database. Train and supervise student staff and volunteers when working on the Fund for ISU, the student philanthropy organization and various communications programs. Keep up with news and trends in annual fund methodology and best practices.
