Institutional Giving Manager
LDF seeks an experienced, pro-active and passionate Institutional Giving Manager to help drive the Development Department and reports to the Senior Director of Institutional Giving.
Responsibilities include:
- Develop and manage a portfolio of institutional donors;
- Manage a schedule of submission and reporting deadlines and deliverables;
- Draft grant/sponsorship proposals, letters of inquiry, and grant/sponsorship reports;
- Conduct prospect and donor research;
- Manage reporting process;
- Draft correspondence to donors for signature of Senior Director of Institutional Giving (e.g., donor updates regarding LDF accomplishments, invitations to events, etc.);
- Manage solicitation/reporting calendar and other grant-related tracking systems;
- Gather information from Finance Department and Department Heads/Program Directors for grant/sponsorship proposals and reports, donor meetings, internal grant/sponsorship meetings, etc.;
- Engage with finance and programming departments to develop and report on budgets to support programs and proposals;
- Assist Senior Director of Institutional Giving in preparation for and follow-up to grant management meetings, including drafting agendas, taking meeting notes, and sending meetings recaps;
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications include:
- Bachelor’s degree;
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a development office;
- Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to synthesize complex program concepts into compelling proposals and reports on deadlines;
- Basic understanding of corporate and foundation relations;
- Experience drafting grant proposals and reports and donor correspondence;
- Excellent time management and organization skills;
- Ability to multi-task and adhere to multiple deadlines;
- Detail-oriented;
