Assistant Manager, Engagement Center
This role assists in co-managing day-to-day operations of the UIC Engagement Center. The UIC Engagement Center conducts outbound telephone solicitation, texting, stewardship, cultivation, event reminder calling, social media and other engagement activities on behalf of the university’s advancement, marketing, and communication programs. This position coordinates and manages unit specific responsibilities including interviewing, hiring, training, motivating, monitoring performance, and evaluating student employees. This position holds primary responsibility for building campaigns and analyzing statistical performance within the telemarketing software package. This position will have regularly scheduled alternating evening shifts. This position is located on the University of Illinois at Chicago’s campus.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required. Supervisory experience preferred with preference given to candidates with at least one year of telephone solicitation, sales/training, or customer service experience. Applicants must possess skills that demonstrate independent judgement, integrity, and confidentiality. Computer proficiency is required, and database experience is preferred. Enthusiastic leadership, interpersonal skills and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, and meet short deadlines are also necessary.
