Overview:

Reporting to the Associate Vice Chancellor for Central Advancement, the Executive Director will develop a coordinated matrix of communication and solicitation strategies involving email, direct mail, crowdfunding, social media, and volunteer engagement, all focused on shaping a sustainable tradition of annual support and engagement. The strategy will focus on two directives – generation of annual gift revenue and discovery and qualification of next-generation major gift prospects for key constituent pools including alumni, community members, and grateful patients and families. The Executive Director will create and execute a data-driven, donor-centric, dynamic, omni-channel, integrated grateful giving program, which will be key for building the pipeline for the next comprehensive campaign. The strategy will showcase and leverage emerging strengths of the institution and employ state-of-the-art technology and digital platforms. The Executive Director will supervise and lead the annual fund and alumni relations teams, providing coaching, training, and mentoring, as well as integrating skills and talents from historically separate functions.

University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is the only comprehensive academic health center in the state of Arkansas. It is the state’s largest public employer as well as one of its greatest economic engines with an annual state economic impact of $3.92 billion. Requirements:

A bachelor’s degree is required for this position. A master’s degree is preferred. At least six years of development experience, preferably in annual gifts and/or alumni relations raising annual and mid-level gifts, is preferred.  Experience in an educational, research or health care setting is desired.
