Associate Director, Digital Marketing, Annual Fund

Associate Director, Digital Marketing, Annual Fund, Alumni Association, to innovate and manage digital marketing initiatives for MIT annual giving, staying abreast of current trends. Will create and execute e-mail solicitation campaigns for the MIT Annual Fund and campus partners; manage highly segmented e-solicitation and e-cultivation projects and complex testing and analyze results of appeals and campaigns; research and outline original content to execute with contract writers; manage MIT’s crowdfunding platform; recruit campus partners to participate and advise on best practices; work with contract employees to create fund-raising support videos for the Alumni Association’s Strategic Communications and Marketing team and solicitation campaigns; create outlines, scripts, and storyboards; coordinate fund-raising social media presence in the MITAA networks; edit web pages and provide assistance to the director of annual fund marketing programs as necessary.
Job Requirements
Required: bachelor’s degree; at least five years of digital or communications experience; experience with email and digital marketing platforms and Excel; excellent organizational skills; data literacy; attention to detail; a technical aptitude for web development and learning new platforms’ user interface; ability to approach problems with creativity, insight, and resourcefulness; ability to work both independently and cooperatively with staff and volunteers; strong customer service and verbal and written communication skills. Experience using IBM Watson Campaign Automation (Silverpop) and ScaleFunder preferred. Background in fund-raising and experience running successful crowdfunding campaigns or days of giving desirable. Strong computer skills and knowledge of desktop publishing, design and layout, databases, webpage editing, and video production preferred. Job #17721-8
