The College seeks an Associate Director of Annual Giving for the management and oversight of the Direct Marketing Annual Campaign, development of Affinity Fundraising Program and responsibility for department analytics.

The Associate Director of Annual Giving will work directly with the Sr. Director of the Fund, the Communications Department, the Associate Annual Giving Director for digital fundraising and an outside designer to create the quarterly direct mail appeals.  This position works with staff and faculty directors of various Sarah Lawrence College departments, including Athletics, the Center for Urban Renewal at Bezcak and graduate school programs to create, design and disseminate targeted solicitations to these specific affinity groups.  Finally this position will work with Development Operations to analyze and monitor data for trends in giving and growth opportunities. This position reports to the Senior Director of the Fund for Sarah Lawrence.

Direct Marketing and Reporting Duties:

• Liaison with Designer, Mail House, Communications Department and Development Operations for annual appeals
• Periodic analysis of the Funds’ status with focus on giving trends and opportunities to improve results to meet annual goals
• Work in partnership with the Development Operations team to development reports, metrics, and analysis systems
• Inform lateral teams consisting of Fund, Major Gifts and Alumni Relations colleagues of giving trends and Fund successes to strategize for the solicitation of Fund gifts for 12 Reunion classes.
• Assist lateral teams with reacting to reporting information
• Work with Affinity Groups for individual fundraising appeals.

Qualifications:

• College graduate with 4-6 years of experience in development or development operations in an educational or nonprofit setting preferred.
• Experience with Direct Mail, Raiser’s Edge database, statistics and analytics highly sought.
• Excellent written and verbal skills with a demonstrated ability to plan and organize and manage numerous time sensitive projects simultaneously.
