The Assistant Director is primarily responsible for managing the Phonathon program and current student giving programs. Other responsibilities include managing assigned reunion classes, soliciting prospects for leadership gifts, creating strategies to increase the donor participation rate, managing volunteers, and creating opportunities for alumni to become involved. The selected candidate will also be responsible for managing the telemarketing solicitation program with student affiliates, and recruiting, training and managing volunteers for the purpose of serving on fund raising committees.

The Assistant Director will work closely with their counterpart in Alumni Relations on current student activities, will make reunion giving a priority in the giving cycle of a donor, will manage a portfolio of gift prospects, and will participate in creating an environment that promotes a team atmosphere, creativity, fun, excitement, and a high level of motivation and accomplishment.

Qualifications

The position requires a bachelor’s degree, excellent oral and written communication skills, with 1-2 years fundraising experience preferred. Must be safety conscious and able to work with a diverse group of individuals.
