Dan Allenby | President & Founder

Dan is an author, speaker, and consultant who has worked with educational institutions for more than 25 years to improve their fundraising results. An internationally recognized expert on annual giving, he is a CASE Laureate and recipient of the prestigious Crystal Apple Award for Teaching Excellence. His book Ideas for Annual Giving offers designs for helping organizations increase their levels of sustainable philanthropic support.

Dan has led annual giving and membership programs at Boston University, Tufts University, Georgetown University, and the National Geographic Society. He also served on the faculty for CASE’s Summer Institute in Educational Fundraising and chaired its Senior Annual Giving Professionals Conference and Annual Giving Workshop for five collective terms. Greg Knedler | Vice President 

Greg manages AGN’s business development efforts including the marketing, sales and delivery of various programs and services. His experience includes leading annual giving and other advancement programs at Troy University, The Air Force Academy Foundation, Georgia State University, and Auburn University. He holds a B.S. in Business Administration and a M.A. in Education from Auburn University.


 

 

Kathy Sargent | Director of Program Development 

Kathy manages the development and production of AGN’s various programs including webinars, workshops and other offerings. Her experience includes work in business development, operations, and marketing in the finance and music industries. She holds a B.A. in French and an MBA from Boston College and a Certificate in Digital Marketing from the Yale School of Management’s Executive Education program.


 

 

Rebecca Simulis | Membership Manager

Rebecca manages AGN’s membership program with a focus on helping institutions get the most out of their membership. Her experience includes work in membership, annual giving, donors relations, and advancement communications for a number of different education and nonprofit organizations. She holds a BA in History and Anthropology from University of Connecticut and an MA in Public History from Northeastern University.
