Director, Class Giving

This position to serve as a senior manager responsible for setting strategic direction and managing the undergraduate alumni class giving program, working closely with reunion gift committees and class agents to increase participation and upgrade giving.  Will lead efforts to identify and recruit volunteers, set goals, and oversee/analyze progress; collaborate with other areas and managers to create a well-coordinated and comprehensive approach to undergraduate alumni giving; manage staff serving the 5th to 75th reunions; leverage best volunteer management and fundraising practices to lead successful campaigns emphasizing alumni participation, leadership giving ($2,500+), and consistent giving; develop and implement volunteer recruitment, training, and leadership development strategies; use data-driven decision-making to recommend solicitation strategies; and represent the program on various advancement committees.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Seven years’ related fundraising experience, preferably in annual giving and higher education
  • Two years’ experience supervising staff, setting goals, and managing performance
  • Experience managing volunteers, setting and implementing strategy, and establishing and meeting goals/priorities
  • Excellent interpersonal, planning, organizational, problem-solving, analytical, and written and oral communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Good judgment with confidential information
  • Proficiency with standard computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, Zoom, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with Advance or similar database

  • Knowledge of planned giving

Willingness and ability to work evenings and weekends as needed is required, as is occasional travel.

This position will be hybrid, with a combination of on-campus and remote work.
