Job Description:

The Assistant/Associate Director, Annual Giving Communications, will join one of the most successful annual fund teams in the nation. The Assistant/Associate Director will manage Annual Giving marketing projects in partnership with internal and external department members, in order to deliver targeted, personalized communications that help meet Annual Giving revenue goals and further advance the College’s high rate of alumni participation in annual giving. This position reports to the Director of Annual Giving Strategic Marketing and Analytics. The Office of Advancement is embracing a hybrid approach to the workplace and leadership will support the successful candidate in blending on-site time with flexibility to work off-site.

Major Areas of Responsibility:

  • Serve as project coordinator for all Annual Giving solicitations, stewardship programs and communications.
  • Generate mailing lists and reports for annual giving communications.
  • Serve as main liaison with external direct mail vendors.
  • Partner with Marketing colleagues on social media and email efforts that support direct appeals.
  • Help develop the strategy and program plan for student outreach programs, partnering with colleagues on their execution.
  • Manage operational elements associated with Annual Giving activities, including the maintenance of all appeal codes and the communications calendar.
  • Oversee other projects, as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Successful candidates may be a current non-profit or for-profit professional with transferable skills; experience in non-profits or higher education is a plus, but is not required.
  • Two to four years of experience in marketing and communications, with demonstrated success.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities.
  • Proficiency at project management.
  • Experience and comfort using data to inform actions.
  • Experience and comfort using project management technologies and systems is a plus.
  • Experience using Excel and Word (mail merges, report generation).
  • A Bachelor’s Degree is required.
