Director of Annual Giving
The Lebanon Valley College Advancement Division seeks a director of annual giving. The director plans, coordinates, and manages the College’s annual giving programs and staff to achieve increasingly significant support from alumni, parents, and other friends of the College. The position involves working closely and collaboratively with the associate vice president of advancement, the vice president of advancement, and members of the advancement services, alumni programs, and marketing and communications staff. The director of annual giving may, at times, work with the president, College vice presidents, and key trustees. The position entails significant interaction with College donors and prospective donors. Travel is required, plus evening and weekend work.
Qualifications include: a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of three years of relevant advancement experience in positions of increasing responsibility; successful supervisory experience; track record of personally closing $1,000+ gifts; experience in growing a robust annual giving program; attention to detail and the ability to oversee and work on multiple projects; analytical skills to monitor, evaluate, project, and refine the annual giving program and various components in an effort to meet/exceed goals; CMS/Web updating experience; and the ability to use Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge.
