The Database Applications Manager oversees the management of the School’s Blackbaud suite of software packages which includes the Raiser’s Edge and Education Edge (Admissions, Development and Registrar) packages.   This newly created position works closely with staff and managers across the institution.  The database manager will be responsible for the maintenance, structure and function of the school’s Blackbaud products along with additional responsibilities for reporting and data analysis.

Primary oversight is for the School’s Blackbaud databases, but additional responsibilities will include supporting/training staff in the use of systems and implementing improvements to current systems.

Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, as well as 2+ years of database experience
  • Experience with Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge, Education Edge or other Blackbaud databases preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills are expected, including the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, as well as superior organization skills and attention to detail;
  • The ability to manage several projects at various stages of completion.  Good problem solving skills;
  • Experience and a high degree of proficiency working with the Microsoft Office suite;
  • Strong work ethic coupled with the ability to be flexible in a dynamic work setting;
  • Experience with data clean-up and re-structuring preferred; excellent technical skills a must.
