Greenwich Country Day School is an independent, co-educational day school with a current enrollment of  1,300 students in grades Nursery-12 and a faculty and staff of over 300.The Old Church Road campus is home to grades N-8, and the high school is located less than two miles away on Stanwich Road. Greenwich Country Day School seeks an Advancement Database Manager to be an integral part of the Development and Alumni Relations team. The Advancement DBM has primary responsibility for the school’s Raiser’s Edge database, using it to its fullest capacity for research and reporting.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Manage all aspects of Raiser’s Edge database, Financial Edge, and Blackbaud Net Community information systems, maintaining accuracy and integrity and performing continuous updates and corrections as needed
  • Receive and enter all gifts into database with appropriate coding
  • Facilitate and accurately record the gift acknowledgement process
  • Assist in creating, updating and managing Blackbaud Net Community websites
  • Maintain donor stewardship and process online donations through Online Express
  • Manage the department’s hard copy and electronic donation files
  • Manage check, credit card, stock and online donation processes
  • Convey cash, check and credit card receipts to Business Office on a timely basis
  • Complete monthly reconciliation reports and work closely with Business Office to ensure accurate and timely recording of fundraising income and expenses
  • Work with Business Office to ensure compliance with IRS regulations
  • Provide data and support to Business Office for annual audit
  • Process and track all department invoices against department budget and provide monthly expense report
  • Create records for all constituent families
  • Provide ongoing end-user training and support
  • Manage data transfer between InResonance and Raiser’s Edge platforms
  • Provide data for reporting on prospects, donors, alumni, giving and events as well as status of appeals, campaigns, annual fund and alumni relations management
  • Create all queries, reports and lists needed to support Development activities of the Development and Alumni Relations office
  • Occasional evening and/or weekend availability for ‘day of’ special event support
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum 5 years experience administering relational database management systems (RDBMS) and other information systems in an educational or non-profit environment
  • Skill in strategic database segmentation
  • Familiarity with Crystal Reports in Prospect/Events/Tribute modules in Raiser’s Edge
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Google Suite, Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of organization and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Extraordinary attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to connect with all members of the community and ability to creatively solve problems by working collaboratively with stakeholders
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all aspects of work

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in an independent school setting
  • Experience in alumni relations, annual giving, capital campaigns, special events and/or constituent relations preferred
