This spring appeal was intended for non-donor alumni. While the cover letter gave a warm welcome and informed the reader of upcoming news, and namely - our new incoming president - the inclusion of a spring newsletter allowed it to be a cultivation piece as well. We had not produced an Alumni Magazine last year so this appeal served a dual purpose. The closing sentence of the cover letter says, "we invite you to make your first donation today ..."
