Responsible for developing and directing an annual and long-term strategic plan to meet and exceed donor and dollar goals. Manage a pipeline of annual giving prospects and engagement of high-level annual donors through cultivation, solicitation and stewardship visits. Conceptualize, manage and oversee the implementation of a strategic annual fundraising and communication program ensure the school meets established annual financial and participation goals. Will work with the team to move select donors from annual giving leadership gifts of specific dollar value or more. This includes creating, implementing, administering and managing programs, staff and volunteers to meet the School’s annual giving goal.

Job Responsibilities

  • Under supervision of the Executive Director will conduct approximately 60 solicitations for mid-level gifts ($1,000 – $25,000) from leadership-level annual giving prospects.
  • With supervision of the Executive Director, plan and manage aspects of annual giving program, including establishing and reviewing broad objectives relative to annual giving, identifying issues and opportunities with the annual giving programs, and communicating annual giving priorities to officials at higher levels.
  • Directly responsible for creative components of the Annual Funds and Special Gifts program including drafting of proposals and stewardship materials.
  • Responsible for the maintenance and updates to prospect and donor records within the university database.
  • With Executive Director, participate in development of overall annual giving strategy and plan for the health system; make recommendations and participate in determining policies and procedures, goals, and implementation of annual giving and other related programs.
  • In conjunction with Executive Director, develop and implement new strategies to improve effectiveness and efficiency of appeals and other programs.
  • Develop an understanding of the educational, research and clinical operations at the University of Pennsylvania Health System and communicate its strategic initiatives in a compelling manner to both internal and external audiences.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science and 3 to 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Pay Range

$51,824.00 – $68,000.00 Annual Rate

Salary offers are made based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, as well as internal and market factors and grade profile.
