The University of Nevada, Reno is seeking a Leadership Annual Giving Officer to join the Advancement team. This position plays a key role in fostering a culture of philanthropy by securing leadership annual gifts from alumni and friends. The Officer manages a portfolio of 300+ donors, with a focus on securing gifts in the $10,000–$25,000 range and identifying prospects for major giving. Engagement strategies include personalized calls, meetings, mailings, and digital outreach to cultivate, solicit, and steward donor relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Solicit leadership annual gifts and build pathways for major gift prospects.

  • Develop and manage a donor portfolio with personalized engagement strategies.

  • Collaborate with the Director of Annual Giving on data-driven strategies.

  • Partner with Development Directors to identify and transition major gift prospects.

  • Track and achieve measurable goals for visits, solicitations, dollars raised, donor retention, and growth year over year.

Performance Expectations:
Success is evaluated through measurable goals (metrics) outlined in annual performance plans, including donor engagement, fundraising outcomes, and adherence to Advancement’s timelines and standards.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree and four (4) years of related work experience

Master’s Degree and two (2) years of related work experience

Related Experience: Front-line fundraising, higher education fundraising, nonprofit organizations, community engagement, communications, marketing, or related experience.

Local and national travel

Variable work schedule to include nights and weekends

Administrative Faculty – C

Grants-in-Aid for Faculty Employees

The University is proud to provide a reduced-rate tuition benefit to faculty and qualified dependents. Faculty can take up to six credits per semester at a reduced rate.
