Assistant Manager of Leadership Giving
Overview
The Georgia Tech Alumni Association is seeking an Assistant Manager of Leadership Giving to engage alumni and friends in support of Georgia Tech’s annual fund, known as Roll Call. This position reports to the Manager of Leadership and Volunteer Giving and is responsible for identifying, qualifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding donors with the capacity to give $1,000 – $25,000 annually. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated, metrics-driven frontline fundraising professional who can build authentic donor relationships, conduct personalized outreach, and secure unrestricted support at Roll Call’s Leadership Circle giving levels through a variety of methods including personal visits (in person or virtual), phone, email, social media, and text. Candidates should demonstrate a strong understanding of fundraising best practices and have excellent interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Engage with donors and conduct one-on-one personal solicitations for annual gifts at Roll Call’s Leadership Circle giving levels through personal visits (in person or virtual), phone, email, social media, and text
- Manage a regular cadence of donor outreach, including repeated contact attempts, follow-up communications, and CRM documentation to support solicitation, stewardship, and pipeline development
- Meet defined individual visit and solicitation goals while supporting overall Roll Call goals and initiatives, particularly dollar and donor goals for all Leadership Circle giving levels
- Collaborate with Development staff, Institute leaders, and the Georgia Tech Foundation to align donor outreach with Georgia Tech priorities, support effective use of the CRM platform, and generate referrals for volunteer leadership, major gifts, and planned gifts as appropriate
- Develop a strong understanding of Alumni Association and Georgia Tech programs and priorities
- Maintain accurate donor records, consistently document donor interactions, and track appeals, solicitations, follow-up, and stewardship activities in Blackbaud CRM
- Assist in stewardship activities and recognition events for all Leadership Circle donors
- Support solicitations made by Alumni Association leadership and volunteers as needed
Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree; 2+ years of experience in higher education or non-profit fundraising
- Detail oriented with strong time and project management skills in a donor-facing environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work successfully with donors and prospects
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while independently balancing individual goals
- Ability to remain motivated and organized while performing repetitive outreach and data-entry tasks
- Knowledge of Blackbaud or other CRM systems
- Position will require occasional evening and weekend hours
- Donor outreach will involve local visits and events in metro Atlanta with potential for infrequent long-distance travel

Pay: $60,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year
