Pipeline Prospect Analyst

Reporting to the Executive Director of Donor Engagement and Communications (DEC), the Pipeline Prospect Analyst focuses on building a committed base of supporters to advance donors from annual giving to major gifts. This position supports the DEC team with reporting needs by analyzing data trends and providing informed strategy and efficiencies within the team. Additionally, the pipeline analyst will provide complex segmentation to tailor messaging to specific audiences and will develop systems for tracking the variable data and design. This position will create implementation plans for solutions to accomplish, improve, or automate processes to effectively build the pipeline of Georgia State University supporters.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Responsible for creation, implementation, and management of data analytics and metrics for all DEC outreach efforts to increase retention and acquisition rates. Collaborates with Executive Director to produce and distribute a suite of reports from multiple data sources that focus on program metrics.
  • Data Segmentation: Lead staff responsible for developing and monitoring the data segmentation plan, which serves as the foundation for division-wide annual solicitation and engagement plans.
  • List Management: Manages data needs, data review, list management and vendor output files for DEC ongoing programs and one-time projects, such as direct mail, email outreach, Georgia State Day, DXO portfolios, stewardship and engagement projects, and complex donor list requests from Advancement IT.
  • Best Practices and Fundraising Trends: Analyzes specialized reports and assists the Executive Director with creating tactics on how to improve the program. Provides trend analysis, benchmarking, and input on analytics, predictive modeling techniques, and fundraising data.
  • Collaboration and Customer Service: Builds and maintains positive and collaborative relationships with Advancement IT, Prospect Management & Research, and other campus partners as necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Preference will be given to candidates with advanced Excel and reporting knowledge.
  • Knowledge of the Blackbaud application software Raiser’s Edge/NXT or Salesforce.
