Director, Annual Giving
The University of Nevada, Reno is recruiting for a Director, Annual Giving. The Director, Annual Giving within the University Advancement Division reports to the Executive Director of Development. The Director of Annual Giving is responsible for the leadership, management and execution of the University’s annual giving program. The Director will establish goals, objectives, strategies and activities for campus-wide programs while leading a team of annual giving fundraisers. Manages and evaluates all aspects of the direct mail, digital giving, crowdfunding and other annual giving mechanisms (to include overseeing a budget, planning of a comprehensive solicitation calendar, and executing the production of said solicitation channels) to increase funding, increase alumni participation rates, broaden support of constituency audiences, and enhance the prospect pipeline. Identifies and implements new programs and approaches. These opportunities will include, but are not limited to, a giving day, alumni giving, senior class giving, parent giving, employee giving, and student philanthropy.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree and four (4) years of related professional work experience; OR a Master’s Degree and two (2) years of related professional work experience.
Related Experience
Experience in direct fundraising and management experience to include annual giving/fundraising, soliciting gifts in person, over the phone, direct mail, email, and crowdfunding experience or related.
Compensation Grade
Salary is competitive and commensurate with related education and experience. The projected salary range for this position is between $80,000 to $90,000.
Schedule or Travel Requirements
Some travel required
Weekends and evenings on scheduled projects
Non-standard schedule – evenings and weekends for call center oversight

Grants-in-Aid
The University is proud to provide a reduced-rate tuition benefit to faculty and qualified dependents. Faculty can take up to six credits per semester at a reduced rate. Dependents of faculty have unlimited credits, but in order to be eligible children must be unmarried and under the age of 24 and must receive at least 50% of their financial support from the employee and/or employee’s spouse or domestic partner.
