Coordinator Telemarketing
Major Duties:
- Oversees evening telemarketing sessions through the supervision of numerous student employees, including managers and team leaders, and the direction of workflow and problem solving. Ensures attainment of production goals, and produces call scripts.
- Formulates hiring strategies and ensures proper implementation and maintenance of student staffing policies. Fires student employees as necessary. Authorizes supporting purchases, such as those for recruiting fliers, postage, and food.
- Develops and implements training, including strategies and procedures, for new and current student callers.
- Supports and mandates telemarketing campaign goals by conducting effective fundraising and marketing strategies, monitoring results, evaluating call sessions and preparing reports for and making recommendations to leadership staff. Evaluates campaign results.
- Utilizes a customer relationship management system to effectively build and segment caller lists. Troubleshoots software problems and communicates with the vendor for resolution. Remains current with software changes and upgrades.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field from an accredited institution, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Two years’ relevant experience.
- Supervisory or lead experience.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, analytical and computer skills.
- Ability to work irregular shifts and extended hours, including evenings and weekends.
Desired Qualifications:
- Fundraising experience in higher education.
- Experience with telemarketing software.
Additional Position Information:
Terminal appointment ends two years from date of hire, with possibility for renewal.
