Business Systems Analyst
Responsibilities:
Reports to: Associate Director, Integrated Data Services
Supervises: N/A
As the Business Systems Analyst, you will work with the Development Community to support the comprehensive fund-raising programs of the University of Michigan. You will provide reliable support of marketing efforts (mass communications). This includes gathering requirements, writing queries, creating efforts within the DART application, and quality checking data.
You will work in an environment dedicated to advancing the mission of the Office of University Development (OUD) and the University. You will build positive and meaningful relationships with co-workers and customers while maintaining a commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace.
As a member of the Integrated Data Services team, you will ensure the health of the data in the Donor and Alumni Relationship Tool (DART) used by the UM development community.
Required Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field, OR 1 or more years of related experience working with information systems/CRM tools.
- A commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace.
- Demonstrated aptitude to learn new programs such as SQL.
- Experience with data manipulation/transformation/delivery.
- Excellent organizational, analytical and independent problem-solving skills.
- Experience effectively communicating technical concepts and information to non-technical users.
- Experience with business process evaluation, design and implementation.
- Ability to consistently meet deadlines with multiple competing tasks and priorities.
- Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Willingness to expand technical knowledge, both personal and team wide.
