This was our fiscal year opener piece, sent to lapsed donors (14-60 months) and some of our long-lapsed (60+ months)/nondonor alumni over the age of 50. We sent a postcard inviting them to join us at an event/engagement opportunity this summer to warm them. Then 3 weeks later, the solicitation letter was sent. This was the first time we tried something like this in terms of priming them with engagement.
