Social Media Communication Specialist
- Build and maintain an active digital content calendar and associated workflows.
- Manage, write, edit and proofread content before publishing, ensuring consistent voice, correct grammar and strategic alignment to the division.
- Supervise all aspects of social media interaction between constituents and the UNCW Alumni Association.
- Track constituent and content analytics.
- Remain up-to-date with content trends, constituent preferences and advancements in technology.
- Serve as a resource and strategic partner to various units across the division and campus.
- Drive participation and attendance in annual giving campaigns and alumni initiatives as well as help to steward donors and celebrate the impact of philanthropy at UNCW.
- Develop toolkits and manuals for alumni board members, social media ambassadors and campus partners for key division activities.
- Continue to build and maintain trustworthy relationships within the division and with campus communicators across the university.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a discipline related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience
- All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
- Non-profit or higher education experience
- Ability to analyze and interpret complex data
- Engage in diplomatic conversations to secure buy-in on proposed strategies
- Video production experience
- Podcast experience
- Graphic design experience
Recruitment Salary Range: $41,281 – $49,345
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00AM – 5:00PM; some nights and weekends required
