Program Coordinator, Digital Communications
The Digital Marketing Specialist will be responsible for a wide array of tasks related to fundraising e-communications: managing the production and distribution of heavily segmented email solicitation campaign communications for ten partner schools, annual fund programs, gift planning, and coordinate digital testing and performance analysis. Additional responsibilities will include collaborating on social media channel content and student fundraising engagement programs. All of these areas further the Fundraising Communications goal to engage alumni, parents and students in a lifelong philanthropic journey providing financial support for the university. This position will report to the Director of Fundraising Communications.
Job Responsibilities:
E-communications
The Digital Marketing Specialist is responsible for executing and segmenting electronic communications for the Fundraising Communications Team including but not limited to solicitations, newsletters, stewardship, recruitment, and event follow-up efforts.
- In collaboration with the Fundraising Communication Team, draft, edit, segment, assemble, schedule, test and deliver Fundraising electronic communications.
- Utilize HTML coding skills to build emails with segmented dynamic content for multiple constituent groups.
- Coordinate with Fundraising Communications Team and Marketing Communications Stewardship (MCS) team to develop, execute and monitor testing strategy for email and other digital content.
- Coordinate with Business Intelligence to pull, segment and prepare email files
- Support and develop other digital messaging and services for the fundraising communications programs.
- Collaborate with the other programs to deliver integrated e-communications (e-mail, landing pages, etc.) to target audiences.
Analytics and Performance Monitoring
The Digital Marketing Specialist will be responsible for coordinating testing and tracking of the E-communication channels to determine best practices and strategies.
- Work with MCS partners to create performance criteria and implement analytics across all fundraising digital channels
- Work with Business Intelligence to coordinate reporting on digital channels
- Develop standard reporting materials for monitoring and analyzing performance
- Perform ongoing analysis of digital performance and various testing strategies
- Develop best practices for segmentation to improve email personalization
- Coordinate with MCS Team to identify performance results that support maintaining or adjusting tactics
General Digital Communications Work
The Digital Marketing Specialist supports website content and assists with social media content and toolkits, collaborating with staff to develop strategies to further engage constituents with the University, and, more specifically, fundraising. This position is responsible for collaborating on visual designs and identities as well as static (text and images) and multimedia (audio and video) content, adhering to University standards in electronic communications.
- Help develop and coordinate digital communications solutions to support internal communications goals.
- Coordinate the day-to-day content, maintenance, and updates on the Annual Fund and Gift Planning website.
- Perform work on other digital projects as needed (social media, design support, project meetings, landing pages for e-communications, etc.).
Education/Training
Work requires analytical, communications and organizational skills generally acquired through completion of a bachelor’s degree program.
Experience
Work requires one year of experience in program administration or involving academic, instructional or counseling activities to acquire skills necessary to plan, coordinate and implement a variety of program activities and events.
Or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
