Job Summary

The Director of Alumni Engagement is a visible members of the Alumni Engagement unit who serves a critical role as ambassador for the University, building strong and sustained relationships with alumni. The major responsibilities include the identification, development and management of activities that provide engagement points for Alumni to return or remain connected to the University.

Key Responsibilities

  • Alumni Outreach and Engagement
  • Support of Alumni Relations and Annual Giving Programs
  • Identification and Cultivation of University’s Alumni Donors
  • Alumni Office Communications & Marketing Support

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

Highly effective supervisory skills as well and excellent project management skills. Ability to establish goals and priorities for the various entities. Demonstrated ability to handle multiple, complex activities simultaneously. Demonstrated interpersonal skills in establishing and maintaining good working relationships with both internal and external constituents. Highly effective supervisory skills. Demonstrated ability to recruit, engage and manage volunteers. Strong organizational skills. Comprehensive fundraising campaign experience preferred

Ability to communicate with an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community.  Ability to follow all university policies, procedures, and guidelines including but not limited to safety, civility, information security, and non-discrimination policies and procedures.  Ability to contribute to a positive university experience for each and every student, and assist in achieving the university’s commitment to a “vision of excellence.”

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of seven years of related experience required.
