Annual Giving Coordinator
Job Description
The University of Nevada, Reno is recruiting for an Annual Giving Coordinator and/or Annual Giving Manager for the Wolf Card Phone Center. This position requires personal contact with alumni, volunteers, administrators, academic and administrative faculty, vendors, students, parents, community groups, and others. These contacts will involve soliciting funds, resolving problems, general advising, mentoring and public relations with the focus on fundraising
The Annual Giving Coordinator, within the Development and Alumni Relations Division (DAR) reports to the Director, Annual Giving and is primarily responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the DAR call center as well as assisting with other forms of annual giving. Major functions of the position include recruitment, hiring, training, management and supervision of student callers. The Coordinator will supervise and run all calling shifts. The Coordinator also works, as assigned, on other forms of annual giving including direct mail, crowdfunding, text to give and other digital fundraising methods. This position is directly supervised by the Director, Annual Giving and provides decision-making and direction to University student callers.
Required Qualifications
Annual Giving Coordinator: Bachelor’s Degree and one (1) years of related work experience or a Master’s Degree without any related work experience.
Related Experience: Experience in a fundraising setting, telemarketing as a caller, soliciting gifts over the phone
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with Ruffalo Noel Levitz’s CampusCall is preferred
- Proven experience managing complex projects
- Knowledgeable working with databases and/or the ability to learn and utilize Raiser’s Edge database software
Schedule or Travel Requirements
- Some travel required
- Weekends and evenings on scheduled projects
- Non-standard schedule – evenings and weekends for call center oversight
